NSW: Restaurants welcome new rating system

Restaurants and customers have reacted positively to a new food safety and hygiene
rating system .. to be introduced across New South Wales.

The so-called score on the door plan will see restaurants and cafes ranked either A
.. B or C .. or P for pending .. according to food preparation and handling .. kitchen
hygiene .. correct refrigeration and good equipment.

Primary Industries Minister STEVE WHAN says the name and shame system will be trialled
from July 1 in 12 Sydney council areas .. before a statewide rollout 12 months later.
